the Spinco

Project

Together with my friend Francisco Sebastiao, I developed the social media campaign for "SPINCO", a Disc De Rue project.

Disc De Rue is an urban art form in which one or more players perform highly original and technically demanding tricks with a disc, using architecture and public space as an integral part of the performance.
It is a dialogue between movement and structure, between body, object, and city.

SPINCO is an international collective of these artists.

The Spinco Manifesto

The project began with the manifesto — a visual statement translating the heritage of this scene into contemporary channels of communication.

The animated SPINCO logo was created by Kai, who also designed much of the visual language.

FUN

By then, I had become so taken with the aesthetics of the images — including the vertical shots — that I began to play around with the material.

Tutorial Animation

Now I was hooked and had to keep going: I took the funny “Frisbee Playing Tutorial” and turned it into an animated film. Graphics: Kai

Me & portrait-formats

What started as skepticism toward portrait formats ended in genuine appreciation — proof that good material can change habits.
